New Blog x Kanye West x Coldest Winter x Harry Potter???
Kanye West… I’ll pause and let you finish spewing out any love and/or hatred you have for him………….. Done?? Cool.
As I was saying, Kanye West- my favorite rapper. Sure, he’s fucked up enough times for you to go on a rant about him, but I could care less. He makes MUSIC, he makes ART, and he makes you listen with your EMOTIONS. Am I getting a little to deep for you all out there? Now, by no means do I want you Elegant Boredist to think that I’m saying Kanye should be the next president. But what I am saying is that you can’t deny the impact he’s had on Hip-Hop, not rap… HIP-HOP and on music in its entirety. Watch a live Kanye performance and tell me rather or not you actually feel his music and I dare you to tell me no.
But thats enough of that. The actual point of this blog is to give you the insight that he’s got a new blog that you should all check out (KanyeWest.com). And to click here to see what happens when you take Harry Potter and throw him into the coldest winter (pun intended). Music videos the way they should be done.

When Men Had Class
Hmmm.. you ask why this is posted… I ask you, “Why not?” So, just for 13 seconds- lets take away the fact that this is a vodka add… Lets just take away the vodka as a whole.. The aura thats portrayed in this ad.. from the voice of the narrator, the feeling of a pact- being established in to a league of extraordinaries.. I feel that it is all brought together and started by the essence of attire. Whenever I see these commercials- all I can think of is what Elegant Boredom is trying/going to do… The countdown has already begun and the change is slowly taking change.

Mos Def x Elegant Boredom x Grammy’s
Last week at Peaches Restaurant, Mos Def and I met for dinner to talk about Elegant Boredom and old Schuyler day memories. As he rocks an official Elegant Boredom bowtie in the pic above, he promised me that he would wear it to the Grammy’s; which aired tonight in LA. We talked, we laughed, and I definitely enjoyed his company. hopefully we can work together in the future.

For more picture of Mos Def rocking the bowtie check out Terrence Jennings Photography.
P.S. Pictures of Mos at the Grammy’s coming soon…

“Soldier Of Love”
Sade’s return to the music industry in almost a decade including a number one hit Soldier of Love, has shown that this British singer and her band has stayed consistent with the sound that they have crafted over the past two decades. The album is set to release Feb. 8th. It is a must buy album!!

Hope You Aint Forget About Me
So its been a while and I feel that it’s time for my random check up on the EB world. Risley has made some remarkable things happen in my absence and has put EB in the right spot. I had planned to make my reappearance at the Holiday Affair but Delta Air Lines decided to cancel all my flights do to the weather and blah blah blah. Anywho, with my recent relocation out in to the west, we can call it an expansion… What?.. You thought I wasn’t still designing or something?? haha.
Well, this East Coast to West Coast connection will prove to be something extravagant. Be on the look out for the bowties and some other ill quality apparel.

Trey Chique

His mojo, his mystique, and his music.
I. MOJO
If you could jar pheromones and produce cologne from their essence, Trey would be doused in the stuff. Mojo is a charm so powerful that it’s considered magical.
Even though Trey is on his best behavior in light of the fallout from our last interview, he reeks of it. Even though his publicist chaperons this time around and promptly shuts down any sexy-time talk, Trey’s mojo hangs thick and heavy in the air. And yes, he insists on playing Sade as mood music for our interview in the telly suite…
II. MYSTIQUE
Trey knows when to work his mouth and when to slip out of the hot seat. He’s not a tease but he gives just enough to keep you whet. He doesn’t want you leaving completely satisfied so he straddles the line of full-disclosure and mystery. It’s his way of ensuring a chance to give a repeat performance. He’ll definitely keep you guessing; wondering if the things “they say” are true…
III. MUSIC
Ready opens with: “This right here’s a panty-dropper.”
But after a Trey show, the stage is littered with as many panties as pacifiers. JK! But you have to admit, he does have a unique ability to appeal to grown-ass women with tracks like “Neighbors Know My Name” and “Say Ahh” (really?!) without alienating the 106th & Parkers who aren’t old enough to purchase a post-coital stogie. (As gag-worthy as it looks on the track-listing, “LOL Smiley Face” is a genius title.) With chest-pumping declarations like “I Invented Sex,” Honey recommends picking up some prophylactic as soon as you add Ready to your playlist…
“I’m a lovable guy. You don’t think so? I’m confident. That exudes. Women like men who are confident. I’m humble and I was raised by women so I know what women like.” – Trey Songz
